About Me

MySpace Ticker
I started singing karaoke at the age of 15, formed my first band at 16 and played my first band gig at 18. Band broke up so I joined a new band, JYNX. Had a successful year but wasn’t to be as we broke up. Formed Moschops with some members of JYNX. Broke up on friendly terms. Sadly the drummer passed away recently. Decided to go it alone and did my first solo gig in 2000. Haven’t looked back. Rob Lewis 2007________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ Perhaps the most striking thing about about Rob Lewis, apart from his astonishing vocal range, powerful voice, magnetic stage presence and bizarre dress sense, is his ability to put into words feelings that we’ve all had from time to time. Take his second album "Caught Between Love And Hate". Every song on that album was written around the time of a break up with a long term girlfriend and he manages to capture every single emotion, good and bad that one might feel in a time such as that. The title itself sets the scene for a time when one doesn’t actually know how they should be feeling. He writes about what he knows about and there’s no bullshit, and thats why his songs are so captivating. Whether its the haunting accapella of "I Wanna Be There Too", or the foot-tapping of "A Bad Situation", the anguish of "Fear", or the whole heartedness of "You’re My Pillow, I’m Your Rock", he has it all sussed. I urge you to listen to as many Rob Lewis songs as you can find and see if you can find one that you cannot relate to in some way.D. D. Carver 2007________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________His songs seem to have an ’Oasis’ undertone (though not a bad thing). His performance tonight was worth waiting for - he was outstanding! Fantastic vocals with powerful projection, you can easily get into his songs fron the start. He plays just as good live as on his recorded tracks. I prefer to listen to him live because you can hear the raw tallent, with or without a blue tongue! Rob was certainly better since the last time I saw him play. (That might have something to do with the ’lack of a blue tongue’)...don’t ask us about this...just ask him haha. What a great way to end the night, top performance!"We are musical Suffolk" June 2007

Lyrics
SPRINGTIME
In April’s golden sunshine
I feel at home within my own time.
The gentle rain will cleanse my soul
Because April makes me whole.
If I could have my time again
I’d spend more time in winter’s rain
To appreciate April’s sun
Comforting me when the day is done.
If only one could dare to find
The secrets to unlock the mind
Maybe given a little time
I’d be hers and she’d be mine.

HER EYES
Her eyes so inviting
Her lips so exciting
I can’t do anything but just stare.
Her voice so inspiring
I can’t help admiring
I fall to my knees when she’s there.
I dream of her touch
That I long for so much
And running my hands through her hair
But I’m just one man
With my heart in my hand
Wishing for the girl thats so rare.

April 2007 Pimp My ProfileLOVE AND PRIDE
As the tables turn again for me
Back and forth the feelings move
As if swinging like a pendulum
The junction ahead is not signed clearly
And I know not which way to turn
But I only know not to turn back.
When she cries I feel her tears
Flowing through me also
Sharing this solemn moment together
As we bury our heads in the sand
And its easier to walk away
Then to fight for this just cause.
Or is it?
Its easier to believe that
But harder to admit our own loss
If only to ourselves
But that loss will haunt you
When the dust settles
And the tears dry
And the bags are packed
And you’ve said goodbye
Thats when the loss haunts you
When all is said and done
But pride stands between happiness
Her pride, my pride
Our foolish pride that won’t accept the blame
But where does pride really get you?
I know I’m not so proud now
I wonder if she is.
I think not.
Given time the loss will haunt her
And pride will hide its ugly head
And her tears will come back
Flowing into mine

Pimp My ProfileSHE
She came into my life like a summer’s day
With a secret promise to clear the way
For in my tangled web of emotions
She found a door to my love which was open.
Through all the mess that had happened before
I’d like to say I could love once more
But I didn’t know who might take her place
Except the one with the nervous smile on her face.
It would have to take a special girl
To fill the void in my own world
And someone magic to give me again that buzz
But she does. She does. She does.
