I'd like to meet:
If they were still alive: Frida Kahlo, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Hunter S. Thompson, George Carlin and Carl Sagan. For those who are alive: Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Noam Chomsky, Janeane Garafalo, Sandra Cisneros, and Dave Chappelle.
My loving husband, Tim. Naturally, I'm very happy to have met my husband, Tim, he's a wonderful man, very charming, witty, smart, funny and he's a big sweetheart, too! We met in the Navy, both of us went to LSU togehter and we've been married for twelve very happy years. Of course, I couldn't imagine life without him and we're like "peas & carrots". A true gentleman in every way, I feel very blessed and grateful for having him as my soulmate.

"La Catrina" - zinc sketching by Jose Guadalupe Posada, c. 1913. La Catrina is a very popular figure in Mexican imagery and is typically associated with Day of the Dead festivities. She was modeled after upper class women in Mexican society during the 1900's who wore ornate fashions as a display of their wealth. Posada's illustration demonstrates that despite their lofty social status and wealth, they were not immune from death either.
Erzulie Freda Dahomey, the Rada aspect of Erzulie, is the spirit of love, beauty, jewellery, dancing, luxury, and flowers. She wears three wedding rings, one for each husband - Damballa, Agwe and Ogoun. She is often envisioned as a beautiful mulatto woman. Her symbol is a heart, her colours are pink, blue, white and gold, and her favourite sacrifices include jewellery, perfume, sweet cakes and liqueurs. Coquettish and very fond of beauty and finery, Erzulie Freda is femininity and compassion embodied, yet she also has a darker side; she is seen as jealous and spoiled and within some vodoun circles is considered to be lazy. When she mounts a serviteur she flirts with all the men, and treats all the women as rivals. In Catholic symbology she is often identified with the Mater Dolorosa. She is conceived of as never able to attain her heart's most fervent desire. For this reason she always leaves a service in tears. She is often identified with gay men.
A Veve or Vévé [alternately spelled beybey or vever] is a religious symbol for a vodou (voodoo) religion's "loa" (or lwa) (spirit) and serves as their representation during rituals. The veve is usually drawn on the floor by strewing a powder-like substance, such as cornmeal, wheat flour, bark, red brick powder, or gunpowder. The material depends entirely upon the rite. This is the veve of Erzulie.
Sol Taino (Taino sun)- According to Taino mythology the sun and the moon came out of a cave and out of the darkness. The Tainos believed that all of nature's beings were created by the power of the sun as they emerged from the "Cave of Origin". The Sun's power and vitality turned these beings into birds, plants, trees, and all nature around them. As people of the land (or farmers) they held every aspect of nature as sacred.

San Juan, Puerto Rico - San Juan was founded by Spanish colonists in 1521, who called it Ciudad de Puerto Rico ("Puerto Rico City"). Puerto Rico's capital is the second oldest European-established city in the Americas, after Santo Domingo, now in the Dominican Republic.
Fort San Felipe del Morro — or El Castillo San Felipe del Morro in Spanish— is a sixteenth-century citadel which lies on the northwestern-most point of the islet of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Named in honor of King Philip II of Spain, the fort, also referred to as "El Morro" or "promontory", was designed to guard the entrance to San Juan bay, and defend the city of San Juan from seaborne enemies.

The Myrtles in St. Francisville, LA. My friend and I visited it a few years ago on a night tour and I did get a little spooked when we were there, wooo! Despite it's reputation as being the most haunted house in America, it's a beautiful Creole style plantation home that also serves as a bed and breakfast for those who have enough courage to spend the night, oooo...

Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what hold you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom. - the Buddha
