The Roentgen Connection

THE ROENTGEN CONNECTION was founded in 2001 by Goska Isphording (harpsichord), Karolina Bäter (recorder) and Karin Preslmayr (viola da gamba) and is specialized in performing contemporary music on historic instruments. Being a first prize winnar of the 'International Penderecki Competition' in Cracow/Poland and among the finalists of the 'Gaudeamus Contemporary Music Competition' in Rotterdam/The Netherlands, THE ROENTGEN CONNECTION dedicated itself to build up a bigger repertoire for its unusual combination of instruments. The special sound possibilities of the group inspired a number of composers to write especially for this dynamic ensemble. In the meantime THE ROENTGEN CONNECTION is regularly invited to perform on international festivals like 'Aqua Musica', Amsterdam, 'Musica Polonica Nova', Wroclaw, 'Klangzeit', Münster and 'November Music', Den Bosch.
