About Me

Welcome to my online press kit! My Name is Chuck McCrory and I have played guitar in original, classic rock and blues bands for over thirty years. Most of my playing has mainly been in clubs, bars and restaurants across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
I have worked with RCA recording artist Robert Hazard "Escalator of Life" / "Girls just Wanna have Fun", (as my manager for about 2 years in the 80's). Probably my fondest memory of that experience was opening up for the Romantics at a place called the Omni in New Jersey.
Over the years I seemed to have found my niche playing the blues. Blues seems like the musical style I am most comfortable with, and always come back to.
The song that is playing is "Chuckie Blues" which was a home studio recording I have recently done. (Still in the experimental stage with the home stuff).
Music is part of my soul. Even though I consider myself a weekend warrior now, I still take great pride in my craft and am very picky about the caliber of musicians I work with. I am hoping to find a good group of musicians with a strong work ethic who enjoy performing as much as I do!
I have played many venues in South Jersey from the Bubba Mac Shack to Red Hot and Blue restaurant. I have fronted 3 blues bands as well as taken the back seat as a gun for hire for such artist as Mark Stinger, Cowboy Gerry Haines, and James Thunderbird Ford.
Please contact me if you are looking for a guitarist or have any Gun for Hire gigs available. Just spin me off an email!
