No Sweat Week 2007 - 12th - 16th February - No Sweat Week 2007
Welcome one and all to the No Sweat Bradford MySpace.
these bland surroundings will soon become lucious and hopefully rather exciting...please keep your eyes peeled and we'll try and give you something to have them peeled for.
No Sweat, what's that all about? deodorant or something? No no, we're an anti-sweatshop campaign!
Do you know where you're clothes come from? would you be happy if you knew they came from a factory where the workers were paid only 5p an hour and forced to undertake unpaid overtime? Or maybe a factory which employs children as young as 12 years old? These are some of the issues surrounding sweatshops. To watch a channel four report on bangladesh sweatshop workers click here
This isn't about feeling guilty but urging companies like ASDA, Tesco and Primark to ensure that people who make their products are treated fairly and paid a fair wage.
