ISSA was founded February 15 1999 by a group of students who were having troubles coping with the meaninglessness of existence - and agreeing on which of them was best at Sensible. Since then, 16 large tournaments have been arranged, allowing them and others devoted to the greatest football game of all times, Sensible Soccer 96/97, to contend for the golden ISSA trophy, the honour and not least the title as the Best!
The letters ISSA signify International Sensible Soccer Association and besides that, the organisation is named after the famous South African footballer Pierre Issa, whose career culminated in his two own goals against France during the World Cup 1998.
For the past 8 years ISSA has succesfully held 15 official tournaments. We're probably the oldest still existing Sensible Soccer Association
