While being infected in house-music and the fascination of spinning wheels Rik Elmont startet deejaying in 1995. After a short term of practising in 1996 he was playing his first gigs. In the following years there were several bookings in the region of saxony. Because of being disappointed about the situation in his hometown, he was looking for capable locations to start own parties in 1998. Meanwhile he met some cute and house-interested guys that were organized in a non-profit assocation called "delicious dublin". He joined this association and so, together they established the club "Rohtabak" in 2001. Rik Elmont got resident there. After 5 years the club got closed because a loss of important and hard working members.
Since then Rik focusses on producing music. His Sound can be described as a journey between deep house-music and pumpin' techhouse-beats. Always focussed on the rhythm.

"Sehr schwärmerisch und housig in den Chords mit diesem klassischen stehenden Stringsound und locker shuffelnden Claps auf der A-Seite von Helly Larson, der definitiv einen für einen Housesound steht, der völlig unbekümmert von allem Minimalsound seinen eigenen sehr smoothen Weg geht. Überraschender aber noch die andere Seite auf der die gesamte melodische Struktur in Jazz aufgeht und man irgendwie so swingend wie schon ewig nicht mehr durch die Sequenzen trudelt und flirrt. Ein Track für einen Sommer der noch gar nicht war mit sehr klaren und völlig brillianten Rhythmen." (bleed)
