About Me

Aerospace engifreakineer by day (er, 'dayish' now, I'll be on 3rd shift for a while), music-junky by night (evening) and weekends.I've played/am playing guitar/bass (occasionally drums/vocals/tamborine/mandolin/booty shake when nobody's looking) in various incarnations of a handful of LA bands over the past 6 years in styles including straight hard rock, indy pop-rock, indy punk rock, indy folk rock, non-indy country-rock, indy alternative, and progressive rock/metal, or indy-___-rock/whatever you would try to pin to the genres I've been loving on. Check out the 'top friends' on my non-band myspace to hear some of them.Songs that I write for myself or no band in particular or as demo ideas to a band tend to come out with a similar sound that I've been doing in home recordings over the years - kind of mellow, kind of rockin, kind of structured, very DIY, but not really any one style in particular. They usually take about a whole weekend morning/afternoon to make, sometimes including writing the song, that or I just put a mic in front of whatever I was doing and hit record, so some parts are very very very first-take-y, which I dig.Whatever they are, I hope you enjoy. Clicking on my link should sound something like sitting down in my living room (except that if you were here I'd probably be offering you a drink at this point...)
