On February 26th, 1986 a star was born. M-Eaze (born Marcus Wiley) was born at Providence Hospital to mother Tracy Williams and father Maurice Wiley. Growing up in the 206 had it's shares of ups and downs for this rising icon. At the young age of 2 years old Marcus was taken in by his grandmother Essimena Wiley due to his mother's unfortunate drug addiction. His dad was always there despite all circumstances. Living most of his life on the eastside of the Central District M-Eaze became exposed to gang activity, violence, drugs, prostitution, and day to day struggles as an African American. As a child he attended African American Academy which was K-8. Constantly receiving outstanding student awards and academic achievements, Marcus went on to become valedictorian at his 8th grade graduation in June 2000. Fall of 2000 he was enrolled at Garfield High School. Inside these walls is where the Slap-A-Ho Tribe was originated. The SLAP (for short) became more than just a click. It became a way of life. M-Eaze and several colleagues formed a bond not to be broken. In his sophomore year, he became one of the schools most notable freestylers. Rapping with SLAP reps such as East and Mega Man on the block, they individually developed a love for spitting hot bars. Sessions were held in hallways while class was in session, in the library, and in the cafeteria. After recording in a studio for the first time Eaze knew he wanted to be a rapper. Everything he knew about rap he learned from his father's old school collection of tapes. He would ride around beating anything from 2Pac to E-40. M-Eaze has an unconditional love for west coast rap. After practicing his craft ever since, he is definitely ready to put Seattle where it belongs. On top!
