Founded in 1996 by Maria Eva Albistur & Alejandro Franov, with Fernando Kabusacki and Santiago Vazquez as part of the band, IMAN used to be a well known ambient-acoustic-pop band on those times. Ten years later, the release in Japan of "Tropicalismo argentino" (including a medley of three songs of the group) and a proposal for a new record for that country, makes them get together again.
