Take a look at the world around you. What do you see? Do you see reality? Do you see the world for what it is, or what you wish it were? Do you see a world consumed by sin? A world that is covered in the blood of innocent children who are murdered every day? Do you see a world full of greed, corruption, murder, and hatred? Or are you that person who has your head buried in the sand hoping someone else will come along to clean up the mess? The world wasn’t always this way. In the beginning it was all perfect. God created the world and everything in it in six days, and it was good. God and man lived in perfect harmony and had intimate fellowship with each other. Sadly this all changed. Man became consumed with greed and with the desire to be God. We took that which wasn’t supposed to be ours, which God commanded us not to eat. Through this one act of disobedience the world was plummeted in darkness. God, who is holy, perfect, and righteous justly cut off fellowship with His creation. From this one act of disobedience mankind brought war, poverty, sickness, disease, injustice, murder, rape, abortion, theft, and much much more into the world we all now call home.God decreed before the foundation of the earth that out of this sinful, disgusting, foul, and evil people, who were guilty of offending Him and deserving of eternal punishment, He would save some of them for Himself and for His use. In order to save wretched men, women, and children there would need to be a sacrifice. The price of sin demanded a perfect, spotless, infinitely valuable sacrifice to be made on behalf of these filthy sinners. Someone had to die and absorb the wrath of God on their behalf. God knew that no mere man could ever live a perfect life and therefore none could atone for the sins of man but His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.Jesus Christ, God the Son, became a man and was the victim of the worst injustice in all of human history. He was without sin, yet hated, beaten, whipped, wrongfully accused, and crucified. He was innocent, perfect, and was treated as a criminal on your behalf. He willingly allowed Himself to be crucified in order to absorb the full wrath of His Father on the cross, so that anyone who repents (turns away from their sins) and trusts in Him can be saved. On the third day He rose from the grave, proving He was God in the flesh, and the Messiah He claimed to be.Repentance is His message and 2,000 years later He continues to place His gospel in the mouths of men and sends them into a hostile, sinful world to reach the lost and give them hope. That’s why Resist tha System exists. To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ far and wide through the medium of music, and to raise awareness of social and political issues along with pointing people to the Scriptures to correctly answer these issues.Resist Tha System means to resist the world system which is corrupted with sin. It means to resist Satan and his lies and attacks. It means resist your flesh and live a life that is pleasing to Christ. This is who we are. This is who God wants us to be. And that’s all we hope to be.
