Reels

REELS (formed in 2003), assumes a brand of rock n’ roll that flirts equally between psychedelia and a dandy mode of alt-country. They are a cautiously optimistic foursome; guitarists and singers, Craig Buckley and Andrew Stretch, and rhythm-section, Brian Murray and Ruth Minnikin.REELS have taken their sound to Toronto’s NXNE, and has completed two Canadian tours, having the good fortune to share stages with Cuff the Duke, The Ramblin’ Ambassadors, and Wax Mannequin. Since August of 2004, the band’s 8-song debut has occupied charting positions on campus radio.Positive critical press and enthusiastic live shows have bred a consistent contingent of show goers.The Vancouver SUN loved the album’s "swirling country gems," and "beautiful sounds".Reels are heading across Canada this March and April in support of their sophomore release Autumn Country.
