I try everyday to be the best person I can be. Everywhere you go, leave a friend behind is my motto. IM a retired Deputy Sheriff, with over 23 years to my credit. While doing my "job" I did it to the best of my ability, being as honest, and clean as I could. After a long stay in this field,,,this line of work, I had the unexpected happen to me..See, I always figured for a full retirement, you know, the one where you go before your peers, accept a few (more) awards, and some thank you's ect, or, in my work, the other retirement, which is death, an in the line of duty type incident... Neither of those came true for me, I ended up with a decease called Multiple Sclerosis. Life sure has it's twist's and turns. "MS", for ME? I told the Doctor he "diagnosed me with a heck of a thing for a Southern boy to say",,lol,,,always use humor, I think it's part of being a Lawman, seeing the things we see every day, or doing what we have to do takes it's toll, without a sense of humor, God help us. So TWO things I always wanted in life, ONE was to be a Marine, the other was to be a Deputy Sheriff, that has been my life long dreams. I guess I was lucky, as I see men, and women out here that really don't have a clue as to what they want, or wanted from life... Mine was simple, from I would say around 4 or maybe 5 years old, I was going to be a Marine, or a Deputy Sheriff, period, end of story, no turning my head from that dream..Now, by the Good Grace of God Himself I'm a stay at home Daddy with two beautiful little ones, IM honest too, if my kids were ugly I'd say so. I have found, that being shot at for a living is a heck of a lot easier than being a full time Daddy, and although I will always miss my line of work (Law Enforcement)I wouldn't trade a minute I have spent with my little ones. IM a single Dad, and really enjoy my new duties.
