Hello, my name is Jame, or James Gumb,( it was mispelled on my birth certificate.) The name "Buffalo Bill" was coined for me from Kansas City detectives because of the matter in which my very first murder victim was found. I remember reading in a newspaper article that one of the homicide detectives was specifically quoted as saying,"this one likes to skin his humps".
I was abandoned by my prostitute mother in 1954, in which my grandparents took custody of me. When I was 15 years old, I murdered both of my grandparents on an impulse, just to see what it felt like to have that much power and control. After I served my time in juvenile hall, I joined the Navy. Around that time, I became to realize I was a bisexual, because I had transitory relationships with both men and women. One relationship in particular, was with a fellow by the name of Benjamin Raspail, a future victim of the notorious cannibal murderer you all know as Mr. Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Ben ended up leaving me when I thought it would be fun to kill a homeless person and do things with his skin. This would later inspire me to try and create the skin suit. I later killed Ben's future partner, "Klaus", and made a cute little apron from his skin.
I began the "Buffalo Bill" murders in 1983 after I killed my then-girlfriend Frederica Bimmel in a fit of rage. Frederica was the third body found and the only one I ever attempted to hide, by weighting it down in a riverbed.
My modus operandi is to kidnap women by approaching them pretending to be injured, asking for help loading something heavy into my van, and then usually knocking them out in a surprise attack from behind. Once I have a woman in my house, I'll keep her alive for three days, starving them so their skin will be loose enough to easily remove, and then kill them either with a revolver or by hanging. I will then usually place a Death's Head Moth larvae in their throats, and then dump the body. I'm fascinated by a moths metamorphosis, a process I want to undergo by becoming a woman, although I don't think I'd pass the psych test to be approved for such legal surgery. I plan to eventually make a "woman suit" for myself. I think of my victims more as things than people.
I'm sure many of you saw the hit Hollywood movie "Silence of the Lambs", based on an FBI agent who uses Dr. Lecter's help to track me down. Of course, this was just a movie, because in real life I'm still alive and well. I'm currently residing in Belvedere, Ohio, my hometown. I live in a 2 story house that I "acquired" after I murdered the old hag who used to live here. She was my ex-girlfriends elderly employer. Nice house, I must say. The basement is wonderful. I stay busy by stalking women and murdering them, all in an attempt to finish and perfect my wonderful womans suit, so I can finally have the redemption of feeling like a beautiful woman.
