~Not just your average female Comedienne~One of the Bay Area’s funniest ladies representing Richmond California, stand-up comedienne T’kia, made her debut to the stage in April 2003, as a semi-finalist contestant at the Latham Entertainment Comedy Competition at the Kimball’s East Club officially now known as the Willie Mays Skybox Lounge, in Emeryville California. First time ever holding a comical mic, she opened for BET Comic-view’s comedian/actor Bruce-Bruce, and the rest is history in the making. Since then, she has taken the Bay Area by storm with her humorous prospective of life. She has been blessed in her early career to have made guest appearances for: Bruce-Bruce, Faizon Love, A.J. Jamal, Mark Curry, Alex Thomas, Luenell, and Reynaldo Rey, just to name a few. She has made her mark by performing at Pepper-Belly’s Comedy Club Fairfield CA, Chaunte Wayans Comedy Corner Los Angeles CA, The Punch-line San Francisco/Sacramento CA, Coach’s Bar Grill Pinole CA, Kimball’s East/Willie Mays Skybox Lounge Emeryville CA, Tommy T's Comedy Club (now residing in Pleasanton CA, Bourbon St. Comedy Club Concord CA, Kimball’s Carnival Oakland CA, and various clubs from Sacramento to LA. Just recently she was a Semi-Finalist in the 94.9 Best Comic Standing 08', NBC's Diversity of Comedy Competition 07', and a contestant in the Bay Area Black Competition Festival 07-09. Throughout the 5 1/2 years of performing, she has found it a true experience and gift to have the privilege to make people laugh.
