You have reached the official myspace page of Deng mathiang AKA Mista D. A youth from South Sudan. Born into a family of conscious musicians, Mista D’s life evolved around music. It was obvious that he was a talented kid but it took him a couple of years to confirm it. At the age of 8 Mista D took the music seen for a rollercoaster, performing high spirit gospel music. He went on to spread his words and share his talent in Romania where he spent some time.While on exile Mista D, became more aware of the social injustice and the lack of love in his beloved home Sudan and the green continent of Africa. Anxiously Mista D returned to Sudan where his mission was to promote love and consciousness. Wasting no time he formed a group called the 3 for the Lord. A hard hitting gospel rap band that stunts anything it came across. Leading the band on vocals and keyboard, the band went to sale more than 2000 copies inside Sudan. However due to some confusion, the band broke up and each member went in a different path. In the pursuit of higher success, Mista D once again joined the G clan. A well diverse band made of several artist, and Mista D lead the reggae/ R&B section. Mist D served as a mentor and advisor to his fellow band members.After a lot of shows Mista D decided to take his message to a wider audience, and reggae music was his vehicle. Now breaking new ground Mista D hosted parties and concerts at the Canadian college in Sudan. His single “part of original a ghetto” generated a lot of interest and helped promote reggae music in Sudan. In the process of developing as an artist Mista D finds himself in America. Greeting the ladies he wrote a song called “won’t make u cry” produced by Angelo Maku. Followed by his most up lifting song “Darfur”. When asked what inspired you to write that song. He simply said “People are celebrating peace in Sudan but people of Darfur don’t know what it feels like to be liberated”. Darfur is another reflection of how much Mista D loves his people.
