Todor Chanev (DJ Lite) was born in 1980 in Burgas. In the early ages of his childhood he attended piano, quitar and solfeggio courses. He inherited his musical gifts from his grandfather Niagol Panaiotov who is a wind instruments’ tutor and musician. He is still bandmaster in Karnobat’s brass band. Dj Lite’s first steps in djing are in 1992 when he started learning from Dj Aleks and Dj Vesko – famous Djs at the time in club Trocadero – Burgas. In 1997 he started playing dance end electro music influenced by (Kraftwerk ,Underworld, CJ Bolland, Carl Cox, Orbital, Fluke). In 1998 he made a couple of parties in club Santo, situated on the beach of Burgas. Due to his collegue Dj Peppy and his’ invitations many famous DJs from Bulgaria and abroad were guests at the club. At one of these events where guests were DJ Peter K (Germany ) and Pulsar Dj Lite gave them a promo disk thanks to which he had been invited and played at the festival of electro music in Frankfurt organized by U60. At the beginning of 2001 right after the opening of Dance Club Mania Dj Lite met DJ JAM who helped him to realize that he loves house music. From 2003 he is a resident Dj in one of the most famous clubs at the Black sea – Silver club Burgas where he works with most of the popular Djs in Bulgaria. In his sets you you can hear the tracks and the remixes and sense the touch of Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim), Syke 'n' Sugarstarr, Tony Thomas, Robbie Rivera, Mastik Soul, Deep Dish, BOB SINCLAR, SANDER KLEINENBERG, CHUS & CEBALL OS, Wally Lopez (Spain), DANNY TENAGLIA, AXWELL, STEVE ANGELLO, MAX GRAHAM, DAVID MORALES, NIC FANCIULLI, MARK FARINA,16 BIT LOLITAS, Dave Angel (UK). At the moment he is still resident Dj there and meanwhile he plays his music in different clubs in Bulgaria. His style is going through tech, tribal, progressive, electro, mimal, funky, deep, jazzy, vocal ? break beat. He is working on his own productions but there are not published yet.
