I love to travel, to read, to write, and to listen to REAL music.
I actually can't think of any particular person that I would really like to meet. There are people who have gone before me that I tremendously appreciate but am unable to thank. And, there are those who are yet with us who I greatly respect and admire for their contribution to humankind such as Dr. Maya Angelou, Ms.Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Cornel West, Sen Hillary Clinton, Mr. Tavis Smiley, Ms. Cicely Tyson and Mr. Nelson Mandela...to name a few... meeting them would be nice but just being able to say thank you is enough for me.
Evangelist Dorinda Clark Cole and Cheryl Pepsii Riley have to be at the top of my list. Then, let's see...there's the Clark Sisters,Anita Baker, India Arie, Luther Vandross, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Ohio Players,Fred Hammond, and Yolanda Adams. I think that Kanye West is quite talented as well.
My favorite movies are actually 2 musicals and an animated film- The Sound of Music, Oliver Twist and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (the cartoon version). I probably should have kept that to myself...but as Pepsii Riley says, "just let me be me".
While in the US, I loved to watch TVland with Good Times, the Jeffersons, and Andy Griffin Show.

I love anything written by Dr. Angelou, but I'm partial to "The Heart of a Woman". I liked "The Grapes of Wrath"/Steinbeck, "Brothers & Sisters"/Bebe Moore Campbell, and "Pride and Prejudice"/Austen.
As I get older, I definitely see those who were a part of the struggle as my heroes. I have so many liberties that I enjoy because of their struggle. My family by blood and by heart are also my heroes. Last but definitely not least, my "true blue" friends who stuck with me through thick and thin...thanks! You are all my heroes.
