If you really must know something about me, I'll start by saying that I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona June 2004. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I was really proud of myself because there were times I wasn't sure if I would make it to the finish line. Ok so, besides finishing college, I live with my love, my sailor. We have a kitty named Aprilla who can be a purring ball of fur or a holy terror with claws. (Enjoy the picture where she's hiding in the covers - she let me make the bed over her, then crawled from the foot of the bed to the head, before I could get the camera) We live in a quiet townhouse complex right by Aloha Stadium on the beautiful island of O'ahu and I love it. I'm real easy going and laid back; I'm goofy, a lil sassy and a lil shy, and not to mention a lil on the nerdy side (but who isn't?) and my friends are like family to me. I have 5 close girl friends that I consider sisters + the one God gave me. I was raised devoutely Catholic but that changed big time once I went off to college. I still believe in God, He's never let me down, its the church I have serious issues with, but thats a whole other discussion. I love music, dancing salsa and swing, my horses, my friends and family, and Hawaii. I feel so lucky that we get to live here now. I love the island lifestyle and I love that people are different here. I grew up mostly in the Los Angeles area and its nice to know that not all people are like the people in LA. Ok, so thats all I can think of for now. Anything else you really wanna know, I guess you'll just have to send me a message and ask. Maybe I'll tell ya and maybe I won't, *wink*!

My Interests

I've got so many its hard to keep up. I love dancing in almost any form. I love going out clubbing with my girls. I especially love salsa and swing dance. I've been doing both for quite a few years now, though a bit on and off. I love taking dance classes whenever I get the chance and I'm currently taking salsa classes again and dancing every chance I get. I love horseback riding and I've been doing that since I was 7 years old. I love the beach which is great since I currently live in Hawaii. I don't think I could ever live away from the ocean. I love reading and my friend Margaret got me hooked on Harry Potter and my friend Dehlia got me hooked on Stephanie Plum novels. I love getting together with my friends, cooking big meals and eating, drinking and talking all night. But most of all, I love spending time with loved ones. I adopted a cute lil' kitty fetus from Fetusmart! Hooray fetus!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to contact old friends, like people from high school or college that I've lost touch with. Its sad to know that there were people in my life that I cared about that I'm not able to keep in contact with anymore. I'd like to keep up with current friends and maybe meet a few new ones along the way. I've actually met a few celebrities; Sharon Stone, Eddie Izzard, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice (before they left the 49ers). People are people wherever you go.

Music:

When I was 14, I was totally into ska music and local bands. I still like ska 'cause of the reggae influence and the horn section makes for a great sound. I like swing and salsa music cuz I love to dance to it. And I guess for the same reason I love R&B and hip hop. I also love artists like India Aire and Nora Jones for that bluesey, neo-soul vibe. And don't get me started with classic jazz and big band. Music to me is sensual. And anything that makes me feel good is what I like. I usually let my mood dictate what I listen to because my mood, my emotions deepen with whatever it is I am listening to.

Movies:

Movies... who doesn't love going to the movies? But seriously, I don't see enough of them. I always find it hard to name my favorites but I DON'T like horror films or an unneccesary amount of blood, gore and violence. If you really want to know my favorite movies, just ask...

Television:

Ok, so, I TOTALLY love CSI (that's CSI proper!) but I don't watch TV as much as I used to. I'm too busy dancing :D

Books:

Lets see....I'm absolutely addicted to Harry Potter (I can barely wait 'til the 7th book comes out this summer) and the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. My sisters and I love the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I actually got into science fiction because of my senior seminar my last quarter in school. I really like the books I've read by Philip K. Dick, Ursula K. LeGuin, and Octavia E. Butler. I just love a good story, especially any kind that includes a social commentary. It just facinates me.

recovering

I had surgery to have my ACL reconstructed on March 1st and I have been recovering very well ever since. I had my leg in an imobilizer brace while my leg was all poofy and sore for about 4 days....
