Cool Slideshows!

For starters I have to say that I love the Lord with all my heart and soul, I believe in Him and His Word. I would say that I was a very caring person for others. I do what I can to help others even when it means putting my own self out there for them; not in all cases but especially for those in my immediate life (family, friends & some associates). I love sports, football being my favorite (GO GIANTS), I love bowling, roller skating, almost anything that’s fun and exciting to do. I tried skiing one time but that’s not for me. I almost killed myself on the same mountain (10,000 ft - Mt. Heavenly) in Lake Tahoe Nevada that Sonny Bono died on. (I slid down the slope putting my skis on at the edge and having never had a skiing lesson in my life; saw myself headed straight for a tree. Maybe the same one he hit and killed his self on. Anyway, I just kind of fell to the snow and hit this man to break my slide. One ski fell off and that was the end of that). I’m a musician (Electric Bass) but I also have played drums, guitar, clarinet, sax, and flute. I love all kinds of music but I especially love to listen and play Reggae music. I love to travel and I own my own on-line travel agency, “Gemini Elite Travel”. Please enquire if you’re interested in starting your own travel business. I write a little bit of poetry of the things that I’ve experienced in my life. I also like to write things that make people think. Back to the more serious stuff. I speak from my heart and I keep things real so if you ask a question expect to hear the truth and what you need to hear as opposed to what you want to hear. I’m very loving and passionate towards the people I love. I’ve been told I was a good father and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to protect, provide or teach my daughter. She definitely comes first in my life. I’m very forgiving and leave room for the faults of others as well as try to support them; help pick them up when they fall. I can be very sensitive although at times I try not to show it. I enjoy a good laugh, I joke a lot, I can take a joke and will definitely give one back at the appointed time. I can get very, very serious especially if I’m rubbed the wrong way. I try to keep a positive attitude but I’m only human and the negative side will come out if tested (A little rebel still lives inside). I like to have peace in my life and try to avoid drama at all times. I’m very courteous and giving. I show and give respect for that’s how you obtain it back for yourself. I always respect women. When things are not going to well I know how to pull things together and move on. I’m willing to learn new things and try to keep an open mind…

In a scene out of the civil rights era, thousands of protestors marched on Jena, La., a mostly white town of 3,000 last week. They were there to call attention to a shameful chain of events that never should have happened. The demonstrators called it a march for justice, not a mark against Jena. But the incident that spurred it was a commentary on how close to the surface racism lies. So was the emergence of the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis in the Jena area as the marchers were leaving town. The so-called Jena Six case began a year ago, when a black student at Jena's public high school asked permission to sit under a tree considered to be in a "white only" area. That adults would tolerate a color barrier as recently as 2006 is a sorry state of affairs. Shortly after blacks began to sit under the tree, nooses were hung from it by white youths. This provocative act was deemed "a prank" by authorities and the perpetrators received in-school suspensions. Such behavior should have been treated more harshly, given the underlying tension and ugly history of the racist symbols. Educators could have used the incident as a jumping-off point for productive discussions with all students about racism and its destructive legacy. Instead, the noose incident was allowed to escalate into an assault on a white student, allegedly by six black students. He was treated in a hospital for his injuries, but his attackers were charged with crimes that could have put them behind bars for life. This was a shocking overreaction and an example of racial inequality in the justice system. Charges have been dropped against most of the boys. An appeals court has thrown out the conviction of Mychal Bell, 16 at the time of the incident. He was found guilty of second-degree battery by an all-white jury. There is no excuse for violence. But to consider sending boys that young to jail for decades is unconscionable. It is time for Jena to forgive, and for the rest of the nation to take heed.
