About Me

Originally from New York State, Julie Grower currently resides in Nashville, TN. Her contemporary folk, country and rootsy pop songs have earned her two Billboard Song Contest certificates of achievement. She has also written for “Songs Of Love”, an organization that delivers personalized songs to chronically ill children. Her debut CD “In A New Light”, receives regular airplay on independent U.S. and European radio. It was co-produced by Jon Gordon, who has served as musical director and guitarist for Suzanne Vega and Madonna. She has performed at The Bitter End, CBGB’s Gallery, (NYC), The Kendall Café (Boston), and throughout the northeast and in the UK. In December '06 Julie released "Extended Play" a six song collection of her most recent songs. In Nashville, Julie appears at such venues as The Bluebird Café, The French Quarter, The Commodore Lounge and Caffeine, and has had the opportunity to share the bill with songwriters Tia Sillers (“I Hope You Dance”); Lisa Carver (“Wake Up Older”) and Chris Wallin (“Speed”, “I’m Tryin’ ). Julie is represented by Sharp Objects, an independent song plugging and publishing company.
