Kanaka started dj'ing in one off events and parties around Darwin in 1999. This led to a six year residency spanning three venues with Darwin's number one club, 'Kongo'. Now relocated to Cairns, Kanaka is involved with the organisation of Cairns ReggaeTown Festival.
Although a Reggae and Dub Selector Kanaka is first and foremost a Camera Operator/Editor and graphic/web designer, located in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia. Kanaka also directs and produces music videos.
Kanaka's passion for the magic of Papua New Guinea has led him to twelve of the nineteen provinces. He has worked on two documentaries as camera operator in PNG and has a good knowledge of Tok Pisin (Pidgin English), Kanaka is a valuable crew member in Papua New Guinea.
