Mud Facts Baby Facts

There are, of course, many different collaborative groupings within the Minnesota-based art-jazz prog-core band Bubblemath . The songwriting duo of Blake Albinson and Kai Esbensen represents one such collaboration. Any of their material which, for whatever reason, doesn't belong in Bubblemath has a loving home in the land of Mud Facts Baby Facts.
But the land of Mud Facts Baby Facts is more than just a repository for unused Kai/Blake Bubblemath material. Mud Facts Baby Facts is not a retirement community! It is a bustling metropolis of tribe-style childcare -- a fully developed performance municipality, complete with a level-one trauma center and a 24-hour casino.
The trauma center and casino represent the gambling and risk associated with the edge-of-your-seat compositional lifestyle prevalent within Mud Facts Baby Facts. That's because we don't take as damn long as Bubblemath does to write and record stuff. We just up and write stuff, whether we feel like it or not.
Do we do it all for you? That depends on who "you" are. Are you us? If so, then no. Because if you are us, then we aren't even IN Mud Facts Baby Facts, and therefore NONE of us are involved in this particular project. And yet, here we are involved in this project!
So, where does that leave us? It leaves us with music. It always comes back to the music.
