Whilst the British weather may be terribly unreliable, there’s one place you can always expect sunshine and that’s In City Light. Made up of Sammi (Vocals), Ross (Guitar), Ad (Guitar), Paul (Bass) and Ant (Drums); the band channel the summer through their every melody, key change and deliciously catchy hook.
The last couple of years were truly exciting times, as even though the band were still honing their skills and earning their chops, saw the band sharing stages and holding their own with heavy-hitters such as Punchline, Sherwood and The Mission District, but for In City Light, the future sparkles and glistens almost as much as their huge choruses and refreshing grasp on the pop punk genre.
For 2009 will not only see the band stepping up to play bigger and better shows to their ever growing fanbase, but head back to the studio to record their first EP proper with UK producer wunderkind Matty O’Grady, responsible for last year’s UK-music scene darlings You Me At Six’s stellar debut, which is sure to propel them to similar heady heights.
