About Me

* TEACHER * FIGHTER * ARTIST * MUSIC PRODUCER * CANCER SURVIVOR - stay tuned for updates & news on your boy D.D.S.On the road to recovery and getting back into shape after almost dying from cancer. Coming that close to nearly going out really put things into perspective. It makes you thankful for everything you have and every second you get with the ones you love. One thing I've learned is that life is fragile and there is really no time for hatred, drama and negativity. You gotta love today because you never know for sure if there will be a tomorrow.
In light of that statement, I want to express my love and gratitude for all the people out there that have been down with me since day one and stuck with me...even through the dark times. Yall know who you are...shoot, I ain't checkin out just yet, I still gotcha back! Holla atcha boy!!!
one love, peace and God bless,
Dave

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Any one who is into networking, art and graphic design, hip hop music, boxing, mixed martial arts, and just having a good time and keeping it real. I especially want to work with as many emcees as possible who want to flow over some of my instrumentals and try to get their thoughts, rhymes and ideas for the sake of hip hop and artistic creativity. Shouts out to my boy Byronious, the last of the KFA all the way from back in the days of the Crofton Zoo...and shouts to all the rest of the peeps kickin out in Maryland... Shout outs to The Expert, Mantis, Son of Jerel, MT Hollis "America's Finest", Killa, MC Tetris, my boy Ridez Klepto the original 'Big Man On Campus' and all the folks keepin it real at Stole the Show Productions. Lil Nicky rest in peace!!!

On December 20th, 2005, Nick Schulz, one of my best friends, was killed in a automobile accident. Nick was one of the most caring, giving, selfless, and realest friends a person could have. He will be missed terribly but remembered fondly by myself as well as all who knew him; especially in the small but tightly knit group of friends to which he and I both belonged. Nick, man what can I say? Words aren't enough to define what you meant to me and the rest of the gang. You were always there for a homie when he needed u and always cheered me up when i was down. You always gave without taking and you were just a cut above the rest... I don't know where you are now brother, but I like to believe that you're up there smiling down on us and watchin over us all. You will always have a place in my heart and you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace homie. You were the best.

Movies:

All the Rocky movies, When We Were Kings, First Blood, Halloween I&II, In the Mouth of Madness, Old School, The Matrix, Mask (the one with Cher and Rocky Dennis not the one with Jim Carrey), Napolean Dynamite, Shogun Assassin, The Empire Strikes Back (well really all the Star Wars but Empire was the best), Forrest Gump, Bullet, Unforgiven, Tombstone, Braveheart, Split Decisions, 12 Monkeys, Million Dollar Baby, Fight Club, The Last Boyscout, The Neverending Story, Anchorman, Happy Gilmore, Team America and The Secret of Nimh could name a few of my favs. There is too many great movies to only pick one, but if I had to pick just one all time favorite, it would have to be Rocky III, just cuz it was the only movie I remember seeing with my dad AND his dad; my grandfather, in the theatres, and the last scene in that movie is my favorite in any film; I still watch that scene before leaving my house to go warm up before fight time.

Television:

The Contender, Southpark, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force...I don't really watch too much TV, i dont know... Ren & Stimpy was the shit back in the day I guess...yeah that's pretty much it, not counting sports.

Books:

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, First Blood by David Morrell, The Running Man by Richard Bachman pseudonym for Stephen King, Watchers by Dean R. Koontz (one of the coolest books ever), The Shining, The Stand, It, all by King are really good if u like creepy sh*t. My all time favorite kids book has gotta be Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak. I loved that book as a little kid and I still dig it now; the artwork and story (simple as it may be) are timeless.

Heroes:

My grandmother and grandfather, my dad, Muhammad Ali, Tupac Shakur, Hugh Hefner, Christopher Wallace, James Toney, Mike Tyson, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Roy Jones Jr, Sugar Ray Leonard, Kanye West, and Hulk Hogan, BROTHER.On Friday, September 30th, 2005, Sergeant First Class James J. Stoddard Jr. was killed in Afghanistan on his second tour of duty in the Middle East. Jamie was an old childhood friend of mine, and although I had not seen or spoken with him in many years, I know I will remember him always. My thoughts and prayers go out to his mother, wife, and three children. "Jamie you always were a good man who stood up for what he believed was right and never backed down in the face of adversity. In my heart you will always represent and remind me of courage, honor, truth, and the American way of life. Rest in peace brother, I'll never forget you."------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------
