Sons of Lost Liberty, a metal-melodic band, originated in the late 90s out of the humdrum, corn-surrounded plains of central Illinois. SOLL has come out of nothingness to become the entity that is now the band. Though SOLLs music is deeply rooted in metal, the band consists of 40 years combined music experience and diverse music influences that mixes many genres including metal, classic rock, blues, lounge and even hip hop, so you may hear a couple of curve balls thrown at you. There is an underlying meaning behind the facade of sound that is SOLL, pushing for awareness and awakening of the captive society we have become a part of and a need for re-instating the intended lives granted to us all by struggles of the past. Pounding beats brought out by Mike Cunningham are accented by the string section, John Garee; guitars/engineering and Steve Brauer; bass. This is all polished off by the melodic but yet harsh vocals of Greg Bishop.____Sons of Lost Liberty's last show was May 19th, 2007 at Pop's in St. Louis. We appreciate everyone that came out (Alex). We also appreciate everyone's support throughout the years. S.O.L.L. decided to part ways for the time being mostly due to the distance between band members. New revamped S.O.L.L. material may reappear in the future possibly under a different band name, so keep an eye out. Thanks,Sons of Lost Liberty
