Libretto was fashioned on 6 November 2005 when Jermin Treyes, and Kira de Ocampo, decided to form a band. They teamed up with Jermin's brother, Rouge, and a friend, Josh Madrid. The roles followed with Rouge on guitars and vocals, Kira on guitars, Jermin on bass and Josh on drums.
Unfortunately, due to Josh's tight schedule and priorities, the band almost lost a drummer. Kira's good friend, Mark Hernandez, gladly filled in Josh's part, and was then the alternate beatboy.
They decided to finally name Mark as the band's permanent drummer to give a chance for the band to move on.
The former name is Amplified Drama which is basically about the drama in our everyday lives, amplified by the One. But, due to uncertainties, it was changed to Libretto, which, according to Jermin, "..means a book of the music in our lives". Libretto is originally a song written by Kira but it is then applied as the band name itself.
The line-up was changed with Kira on vocals and guitars, Rouge also on vocals and guitars, Jermin still on bass, and Mark on drums.
The come-back of the new recommitted Josh as the guitarist made a change for the band.
Presently, the band is writing its own materials.
Despite being new, the band is sure to carry on. So what's next for this band? The rest is unknown.
