SHOWCASE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES
Saturday, October 17, 2009
Fort Saskatchewan, AB

The Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta is proud to present a one day showcase of touring performing arts for young audiences. Our showcase is designed specifically for schools (teachers, parents councils) and those who present family series and community events. The showcase will offer 10 minute performance segments from artists touring the province and presentations from artists providing residency programs. The showcase for Young Audiences will be held in tandem with Alberta Showcase 2009.
See artists live - The showcase is a great opportunity for schools and young audience programmers looking to book performing artists for the upcoming season! Registration includes lunch.
Optional services - Delegates may opt to purchase our Alberta Showcase Touring Directory which is a comprehensive provincial listing of touring artists, community presenters, service organizations and agents – a valuable resource for locating artists.
Optional afternoon or evening showcases – Join our mainstage delegates (Alberta Showcase) for an afternoon showcase, dinner, and our evening showcase.

ARTS TOURING IN ALBERTA'S SCHOOLS
A study of arts touring in Alberta’s schools was conducted for the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta (ATAA) and funded by Canadian Heritage.
The purpose of this study was to determine the best course of action to support and encourage arts touring in Alberta’s Kindergarten to Grade 12 school system. The term ‘arts touring’ referred to performances and residencies in schools provided by professional artists in the performing, visual, and literary arts.
