Donald LeRoy Robinson, Jr., is a native of Rock Island, IL. He is the second of four children born to the late Rev. Donald L. Robinson, Sr., and Elder Jane Shelton Robinson. He received his formative education in Rock Island, IL and Burlington, Iowa school systems. He attended seminary in New Orleans, LA and received his Doctorate of Theology from the A. P. Clay Bible College.
In 1992, he was called to pastor Marine Baptist Church and in 1993, he was called to the pastorate of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Pastor Robinson’s ministry is personal, progressive, concerned, and conscientious for all with a willingness to shape a ministry to address the total needs of the congregations of Marine & Mt. Moriah. Under his dynamic leadership, both ministries are continuing to grow.
He is affiliated with numerous community organizations. His heart is for people and it is evident through his ministry. Pastor Robinson is married to Mrs. Kristi Gipson-Robinson and they are the proud parents of four children and one granddaughter.
