Women’s Work 2010: Season 7 at Renee Weiler Concert Hall
Greenwich House Arts announces the dates and repertoire for the seventh season of Women’s Work, a three-concert series hosted by Beth Anderson and presented by Greenwich House Arts. Concerts will take place on three Wednesdays in March: 03, 10, and 24 - at 8pm. All events will be held at Renee Weiler Concert Hall, located at 46 Barrow Street, NYC. (between Seventh Avenue South and Bedford Street) MAP
March 03: Wired Women!
Turbo-flutress Margaret Lancaster serves up some tasty bytes of digital divatude: electro-acoustic music by Eve Beglarian, Elizabeth Hoffman, Paula Matthusen, Milica Paranosic, Kaija Saariaho, Kamala Sankaram, Margaret Schedel, and Molly Thompson. Five world premieres will be presented.

March 10: Faces of Eve
Faces of Eve celebrates works by Adrienne Albert, Lera Auerbach, Mary Lynn Place Badarak, Margaret Bonds, Mary M. Boyle, Lydia Busler-Blais, Chen Yi, Thea Musgrave, Deon Nielsen Price, Sharon J. Willis, and Carol Worthey. Six world premieres, four New York premieres, and one American premiere shall be presented. Seven of the composers shall discuss their work. This program was conceived as a banquet of Women's Works for the feasting of the soul!

March 24: Dreams
Dreams – futuristic visions, memories, fantastical and nostalgic, nightmares, crisis, and hope – features works by Beth Anderson, Linda Dusman, Gabriela Lena Frank, Laura Kaminsky, Tania León, Anna Rubin, Rebecca Schack, and Errollyn Wallen. Three world premieres and one New York premiere will be presented.

Funding for this series is provided, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts, the Virgil Thomson Foundation, the Aaron Copland Fund for Music, the Amphion Foundation and MEET THE COMPOSER
All performances will be held in the Renee Weiler Concert Hall at 8pm. The cost of admission is $15 general, $10 for students and seniors and payable at the door from 7:30pm. Renee Weiler Concert Hall is located at 46 Barrow Street, NYC (between Seventh Ave. South and Bedford Street).
