..I am a professor at Trevecca Nazarene University where I teach in the School of Religion and Department of Graduate Psychology. I have taught courses in youth ministry, children’s ministry, pastoral care and counseling, Christian education, human development, personality development, learning and cognition, psychology and an integration of theology and psychology. I am an ordained minister and earned my M.A. in counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary. I completed my Ph.D. at Indiana University in Developmental Psychology and earned the distinction of Associate Instructor of the Year. I was also nominated for the Lieber Distinguished Teaching Award. I was recently awarded Teacher of the Year at Trevecca Nazarene University. I have served as a Youth Pastor for many years and along with my wife founded the not-for-profit organization, Foundation Builders, Inc. (F.B.I. Ministries) to reach out to youth and families. Me and my family spend many weekends and most of each summer traveling and speaking at various events. Included in this was a trip to Oxford University where I was invited to present my original research before a group of scholars from around the world. I have written and published articles, book chapters as well as curriculum for the Church of the Nazarene.Wow that all sounds really impressive:) What I love most is being a loving husband and active father. I love taking my children to help me teach my classes. I love playing basketball after church with them. And it is wonderful to be in ministry together. My wife, Beth, is an anointed musician.
