Uncle Reggie's Magic Radio
All the comedy sketches from the first series of The Mix can now be found on their own Myspace page. Just like real life, only weirder.
Reginald Merryweather, or "Uncle Reggie" as he is affectionately known, was a radio presenter who enjoyed huge successes and fame in the early years of radio. During his career, he presented many programmes but unfortunately his innocence and the pioneering approach of the early broadcasters meant that some of the shows were less than perfect. In attempt to make amends for his many "clangers" through the years he built himself a time machine, to go back and change the course of history. However, this had a catastrophic effect and due to an unfortunate miscalculation, he is now a "Time Lord", and is destined to spend the rest of eternity as a "double incarnation" of himself: one as a young man and the other as he is now at 87 years old, with both personalities overlapping, but slightly out of register.
