After living twelve years in Ireland -- Angela Alegna has come home to America in order to campaign on behalf of the returning vets from Iraq and Afghanistan who are finding it difficult to reintegrate back into society either through homelessness or severe post traumatic stress disorder which is the main cause of an alarming suicide rate.
"Melodies of 547" is a 12 song pop/alternative album that is not anti war but pro-peace. As Angela tours the country with this album she will be working hard to make people aware of the plight of our returning troops -- her goal being to make sure that this new generation of vets do not suffer the same fate as those from Vietnam. She aspires to remind people to support our troops when they come home as well as when they are fighting the kind of daily battle that none of us could ever imagine.
Everything that Angela personally earns from the sales of this album will be used to rent homes for homeless vets and to get counselling for those who need it. Also look for the forthcoming documentary "The Aftermath of Our Warriors" along with the fashion and merchandising line "Remembering Humanity".
