Son of Strum

The New World Troubadour

About Me

Still just a young lad in his musical career, Jonathan is very much his father's son. As they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! He is best known as Jonathan Strum, Jr. The Son of Strum is best known for his quick wit, his recitations of poetry, and for his appearances on pub stages where he encourages the audience to sing along with his variations of intense traditional seafaring and Irish songs, and a few naughty songs. The young Strum over the past many years, in historically accurate garb and custom of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, has performed both indoors and outdoors (in all varieties of weather) for audiences of a dozen to thousands, throughout the Mid-Atlantic region - principally eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, the District of Columbia, North Carolina, and Virginia.
