I am a huge fan of music. I especially like the Grateful Dead, Bluegrass, Blues and Jazz. I like 70's and early 80's rock but that is about it. The new stuff, Hip-Hop puts me over the edge.My idea of having fun is camping at a bluegrass or music festival. My Dad always said music is a common language that holds and bonds the world. I come from a very musical family. I play jazz and the rest of my family plays bluegrass. Mom was a concert pianist. I have happy feet and love to clog and flatfoot.I retired a few years ago and music has taken a much bigger spot in my life. I am teaching myself guitar in hopes that someday I will be able to play bluegrass with my brothers and sister. I will never be able to sing well. I am a half step flat and I know it. Best to know your limitations when it comes to singin.I have numerous degrees and certifications but none make me more proud than the title of "MOM". I have two wonderful girls who are both into music and horses. I spend a lot of time at the stables where I do my best thinkin. I have started writing a few songs and I hope to be sucessful in this area. I have experienced a lot in my life so I have a lot to write about.Traveling is my next favorite thing to do. Yes, I have been to Nepal and seen Mt Everest. I have seen most of the US, EU and some parts of Asia. Since retiring I do not travel much due to limited resources. When the girls go to college, I plan to sell this beig old house and buy a motor home or maybe VW will have new bus. (I have a 71 bug)
