Malisa Williams.Growing up in a section eight project (Villa North apts.) on 555 Cassidy, Rd., which at the time was labeled the murder capitol of Thomasville, gave way for a child to become the product of an environment with more negative morals than positive. I have two brother’s, and two sister’s, but I’m the forth child of the five of us. Being that my oldest brother and I have the same name as the father, family referred to me as Junior. Grandma always called me Jun Bug. I was always known as the talented one who would sing and dance to entertain family and neighbors. After the death of my mother in 1984, my siblings and I where adopted by our aunt’s Sandra Scott and Belinda Wright, moving back and forth from each home every six months. I’ve always had a passion for music and entertainment, getting my sisters, brothers and cousins involved in singing, dancing, and acting. In school I became popular by my way of character. Participating in programs such as Pep Rally’s and holiday plays. At the age of sixteen I wrote my first song creating sounds by beating and tapping on walls, or tables making melody and sound effects with my mouth. At that age, being rebellious led to an experience of incarceration. In and out of confinement for the negative activities I participated in. It was the serious time that I was facing that caused me to take more serious of the God giving talent I possess. Realizing the years wasted, I decided to take the advice of the many strangers I meet. I decided to become more responsible and cautious about the choices I made. In 2002 I recorded my first solo song (I’mma ride for mine.) I had been recording since I was thirteen with now popularly local group K.O.B. I found myself being more creative, singing, and rapping. Rapping fast then, slowing down the paste. Seeing people’s reactions made me confident to keep writing. I focused on being original, and writing on different subjects such as the love, pain, struggles, and unforgettable activities in my life, also relating to other peoples situations and lifestyle to be universal.
