About Me

Jocelyn was the daughter of Gary J. and Lynne O. Callahan. She was born in Newburyport, raised in Nahant and Swampscott. She was a 2001 graduate of Swampscott High School. She also attended North Shore Community College. She was a resident of Swampscott most of her life. She has two brothers, Patrick and James, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and family who love her. Jocelyn was an incredible artist from illustrations to tattoo designs. She was an avid reader of classic literature and enjoyed movies. She was credited in having a lot of knowledge. In addition to her art she enjoyed jewelry making. She was a lover of animals and was an advocate for animal rights. She enjoyed cooking. She had a creative flair in everything she touched. She served as a counselor for troubled youths for WEDIKO Children's Services just outside of Windsor, NH. Jocelyn was a student at the New England Hair Academy in Malden. She was a cook at the Gulu Gulu Cafe in Salem; she also had worked at Beadworks in Salem. That was part of the obituary taken from The Salem News, Wednesday August 27th, 2008.Jocelyn was beautiful, and brilliant...a dangeorus combination. She broke a lot of hearts, but she loved everyone. She was well liked and loved by most, and those who did not instantly fall in love with her usually resented or envied her for her ability to capture anyone's attention or heart. She was a loyal friend, and we all loved her so much. She had long, dark, "mermaid hair" as she would call it. She had beautiful tattoos, along with some not so beautiful ones she did herself when she was 15, like the onk on her left index finger that she tried to dig out. It goes without saying she was an artist her whole life, in every sense of the word. She will be greatly missed, by dozens of people, different kinds of people, because she had such a huge variety of friends. We all love her. We always will. Rest in Peace, Baby.
