Purpose:
The Strawberry Social Experiment:Aim - To get the whole world to party for equality.Method - To throw parties where we gather all the creative energies of our culture, and express those energies to guests who pay to be part of the experience.Traders and artists come to the event and build things that guests may want to buy: Art, music, food, magic, comedy, haircuts, massage, painted faces, treasure hunts, graffiti, stories, strawberries and booze (the full list is much longer).Traders who give their skills can donate from their takings what they'd like to the Strawberry Social (most traders charge for materials and travel, but not time).Artists are paid travel expenses and given lunch/dinner, beer/lager and water, thus covering their physical running costs. All profits go to 'Build Africa' specifically to be spent on their 'Build a School Project' that runs across Kenya and Uganda. Conclusion - As it grows, the Strawberry will branch out into more fund raising ventures that are mutually beneficial to communities here and abroad, and the schools of the future will not be built from guilt or pity but from the natural human desire to be creative and to party hard. Here begins the Strawberry Social Network.
