Along with the legendary Uwe Krupp, I am the most successful German player in the history of NHL. Ever since I started my NHL career, I've been faithful to the Washington Capitals. In 1998 we made it to the Stanley Cup finals, but unfortunately we couldn't really challenge the Detroit Red Wings. Still I strongly believe in the Capitals' possibilities to succeed. My current contract keeps me with the team till summer 2008.
I was born in South Africa but I have a soul of a German man, although I don't enjoy die Lederhosen that much.
