This myspace is for Logan West, and Joshua Richardson. The two most warm, open-hearted young men you would have ever met. They were an inspiration of life. Both had a deep passion for their art. Josh, the rock star, was the guitarist in the band Jump*Start. Logan was a painter and writer from his heart. These two men inspired me < Shannon > to live my life for the better good- not to worry what other are thinking about your actions, do what you know God would want. I met Logan West on a church retreat on the cape. We instantly bonded and became close friends. He deepened my roots of faith and abolished all questioning I had in God. I met Josh at a local band show in North Attelboro. He was "viewin the fellow rockas!" (so he said). He taught me how to "skank". It was a great night. One day I was at the Wrenthem Outlets with Logan and we happened to run into Josh. The two hit it off immediatly. They were 16 (Josh) and 17 (Logan) at the time. That was in 2003. Josh and Logan remained together through all these years, and planned to wed this June. June 14th at 2pm.
One night, after returning back to their apartment in North Attellboro from a Jump*Start show, Logan was broad-sided by a drunk driver. Pierced through the heart, Logan was rushed to the ER. Mr. West , Mrs. West and Casey [his sister] were in Flordia at the time, so Josh remained at the hospial, waiting anxiously... alone. The doctors arrived in the waiting room to find Logan's relatives. His death was inevitable. Josh requested to be with his fiancee, to be with him as the Lord brought him up. The hospital decline his request:: He was not immediatly family.
Logan died alone that night. And Josh's heart went with him. The next four days- Josh did not speak to anyone. He locked himself inside of his apartment and unplugged/shut off his phones. He was broken- completly shattered. The 4th night, I received a call at 11pm. It was Josh. Who had called to reassure me how much he lvoed me. I told him I loved him too. He hung up. And I was the last person to speak to him. Josh reunited with Logan that night.
What happened to these vivacious, bubbly, beautiful men was wrong. They were victims to the injustice of our society. NO ONE should have to die alone because of who they love. NO ONE should be forced to sit in a waiting room, knowing their finacee is dying, alone and scared.
One is too many for this to happen to. Speak up- stop the injustice.
