Just like any other band they started playing in a lonely garage in 2006 with Shaun, Justin, Patrick, and Chris. They could only play one song by “Elysia†and it sounded pretty terrible. But they came up with some material that was good enough to play. Unfortunately Justin decided he was done with it so then Nick decided to come and fill in. They continued to play and created a few songs that they believed were worthy enough of recording. This led to a very long day in a hot ass garage but they worked hard at it and made a terrible 'EP just like everyone else does. Near the end of 2007 they realized they were more influenced by hardcore/punk bands and redid all of there music, leaving the Death Metal genre behind. Around the end of 2007, beginning of 2008, they decided to add a new member which was Cameron. At this time they also tried finding a new guitarist but everyone gave up because Shaun hates playing with other guitarist (It's ok Shaun we understand). Then when they had come up with a series of songs they decided it was time to record again. They found a good place to record and released there first CD titled "You Ain't No Daisy" on March 15th 2008 at a Chain Reaction with a bunch of bands that where soon destined to be sister bands of DONALBAIN. They continued on to play shows through the year and summer and had to call it quits when everyone went off for college. When they get a chance to play a show they will play no matter where it is... In a backyard, in a parking lot, in your sisters room, or even at a wedding. DONALBAIN will definitely be looking for shows to play the summer of '09 so keep a look out for dates.
