Malhoja

Malhoja is a five piece band that has been around the Puerto Rican reggae roots scene ever since the year 2000, although some of the members have been playing roots reggae for more than fifteen years. Malhoja has had many important musicians who have been fundamentally important in developing their always evolving sound. They have had the pleasure of sharing stage with bands like: Culture, Israel Vibrations, Midnite, SOJA, Gomba Jahbari, Cultura Profética and Ziggy Marley among many others which include rock bands, hip hop groups and electronic music acts. All current members of Malhoja are dedicated musicians who study music formally and overstand the healing powers of music. At present time Malhoja is working in their upcoming debut album, which contains 12 original songs. The lyrics are mostly in English, but also Spanish, French and Bantú... Malhoja es una banda compuesta de cinco músicos, la cual ha estado presente en la escena de reggae roots en Puerto Rico desde el año 2000. Sin embargo, algunos de sus integrantes han tocado el género del reggae roots por mas de quince años. Malhoja ha tenido distintos integrantes a través de los años, los cuales han sido fundamentales al desarrollar el peculiar sonido, siempre en evolución. Malhoja ha tenido el gran placer de compartir tarima con bandas como: Culture, Israel Vibrations, Midnite, SOJA, Gomba Jahbari, Cultura Profética y Ziggi Marley entre muchos otros actos que van desde rock, hip hop hasta música elctrónica. Todos los miembros de Malhoja son músicos dedicados, quienes estudian música formalmente y conocen el poder que tiene la música. En el presente Malhoja se encuentra trabajando en su primera producción discográfica, la cual contiene 12 temas originales.
