Banda de Doom/Gothic Metal de Curitiba/PR, iniciada em 2001 por dois integrantes do grupo Keltoi, Maiko Thomé e Roger Vaz, procurando a sagacidade da música que faziam com a sonoridade pesada do heavy metal. Se estabilizou no cenário underground fazendo shows locais, e fora de Curitiba, quando foram à Londrina em 2004, tendo sido elogiado pelo público e pela mídia, bem como na abertura para a banda Imago Mortis, do RJ, quando estes estavam fazendo turnê pelo sul.
Após algumas trocas de integrantes, a banda se estabilizou em 2007 com a formação atual. Atualmente está em processo de divulgação do seu primeiro cd independente, o EP "Sarx Thanatos", e fazendo shows locais com boa repercussão de público e de críticas.

A música do Sarx Thanatos se faz entre duas vertentes próximas, o Gothic Metal e as fortes passagens do sombrio Funeral Doom, fazendo uso também de elementos vindos do Thrash e Heavy Metal e gerando dessa maneira interessantes ambientações multifacetadas que abrigam sua temática.

Encontra-se em sua arte de substâncias sonoras dos afetos humanos, impressas em ambientações profundas, intensas ou sublimes, ora pelos pesados vocais ora pelos arcadismos líricos, as impressões da nossa condição humana nessa esfera da existência, os tormentos dos desejos e instintos, as muitas verdades entre o Bem e o Mal, os prazeres e a lasciva , o sofrimento, a efemeridade da vida e proximidade do inenvitável ceifar da Morte que em sua implacável serenidade nos leva consigo para o desconhecido ou quem sabe para um impensável “lugar algum”.

Doom/Gothic Metal group from Curitiba - Brazil, founded in 2001 by two "Keltoi" (celtic music) members, Maiko Thomé e Roger Vaz, looking foward the mix of their sagacious of their sound with a heavy element. The band had estabilished in the underground scene doing local gigs, and outside Curitiba, such as foreign cities. In 2004 it was well commented by public and media when the band played in Londrina, as well the opening act for the Imago Mortis southern tour.
After some line-up changes, the band in 2007 had estabilished with the current members. The band has launched their first full-lenght, the "Sarx Thanatos" EP, and doing local gigs with good reception from the public.

The music of Sarx Thanatos is based in two styles: the Gothic Metal and the strong dark Funeral Doom passages, using also some Thrash and Heavy Metal elements, creating from this interesting kinds of sound that envolve its theme.

It is found in its art human affections from their sound substance, showed in profound environment, sublime or intense, made by the heavy vocals or by the lyrical arcadianism, our human condition printed in this sphere of existence, the instincts and desires torments, the many truths between Good and Evil, the pleasures and lust, the suffering, the momentary life and the inevitable proximity of the certain Death wich in its unstoppable serenity take us to an unknown and unthinkable "nowhere".
