Growing up on the outskirts of Kansas City Mo., in a
small country town called Buckner,which had a smidgen
over 2,000 inhabitants, Cecil Baker had a
country/rock soul.
His young ear was drawn to a blend of greats such as
The Beatles and Kenny Rogers. His likes even included
pop stars like Michael Jackson and the soulful sounds
of Aretha Franklin.
But his musical taste didn't grow stale with age. As
he matured, so did his musical tastes as he tuned in
to artists like Lenny Kravitz,Stereophonics and Jack
Johnson.
And although he always carried a love of music, he
never struck a cord until he met Lt. Dan his freshman
year at Missouri State University.
'Freshman year at age 18," Cecil said. "I stumbled
over a classical guitar from a friend named "Lt. Dan".
