Patrick Lewtschanyn is quickly becoming one of Chicago’s most anticipated and sought after music video directors.Born and raised in Michigan, Patrick fell in love with music at a very young age. Through the years, music has become his inspiration for his dynamic imagination. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a strong focus in cinematography where he began to form his visual palette.In 2005, he made his directorial debut with The Deaf Union’s “On With The Dead.†This distinguishing and successful project gave an unsigned band nation wide airplay on MTV, MTV2, VH1, and Fuse. The video placed 1st on Music Nation and received the Nation’s Choice award for week 11.Patrick’s next project, Block CEO’s “Nawww,†involved bringing Chicago artists from separate independent labels together for the first time. “Hip Hop is a genre I had been wanting to dive into for some time. Coming from mostly harder genres of music, it was a great way to fuse together different visual styles and we were able to create something that was its own. It’s definitely a rap video, but there is just a delicate hint of rock that makes it distinctive.â€
