About Me

A devout Catholic—albeit one who believes that Vatican II, which formally absolved the Jews of responsibility for the death of Jesus, is illegitimate—Gibson has said that what moves him most about the Christ story is that Jesus was whipped, scourged, mocked, spat on, had spikes driven through his hands and feet, and was left to die on the cross—and that he didn't think of payback; he thought of forgiveness. But by wallowing in his torture and death for two hours, the director of The Passion of the Christ (Newmarket) suggests that he's thinking of anything but.Gibson had an ingenious idea for promoting his Passion: as the film that the Jews don't want you to see. Now watch those lines form! Bad reviews won't matter, either, since Gibson has called his critics "the forces of Satan" or, more charitably, the "dupes of Satan." After Gibson's pre-emptive blasts, an attack on his Passion will be interpreted by some as an attack on their religious beliefs instead of on filmmaking that is theologically, morally, and—by the way—artistically suspect. It could be said that Caviezel's role in The Passion of The Christ is the ultimate in terms of making simultaneious physical and emotional demands upon the performer. The actor was chosen for the role because he was willing to commit to this unique project whole-heartedly. Prior to shooting, Caviezel spent several months preparing himself physically, spiritually and emotionally for the most demanding role of his career. It was a daily struggle learning Aramic, the language actually spoken by Jesus, and during produciton he endured full-body makeup sessions that sometimes took up to ten hours. He spent entire shooting days exposed on the cross in freezing temperatures, and during the grueling scourging sequence at Cinecitta, one of his shoulders was dislocated. But Caviezel came away from the experience convinced that someone had been watching over him, a sense that was borne out when the actor was struck by lightning while working on Golgotha---and simply got up and walked away.!!!Stand for HIM he Stood for you!!!!

NEVER FORGET! THAT IT WAS OUR SIN THAT PUT HIM ON THAT CROSS! NEVER FORGET THAT HE DIED SO THAT WE COULD LIVE! THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST: One of the most powerful movies of all time! Critics gave it, "This is one of the most powerful and emotional films I have ever seen." and "In a world that has lost grasp of the real values in life, The Passion of the Christ is a timely piece that makes you reflect on the true worth of faith and love." This movie has left audiences in their seat with just an idea what Jesus really went through and the price that he payed for our sins. This is something not to take lightly, but a lot of people do. This movie went on and changed and softened the hearts of people, yet in our world today most people have forgot about Jesus and what he did for us! We are all guilty of it! Sometimes we forget about what the Lord did for us and we take it for granted! The shocker is that Jesus didn't have to die for us, but that he chose to! Every slash that tore through his flesh, every punch and smack he received on his face, every pound of each nail that punctured his hands and feet, while he hung there in agony and pain beyond belief, YOU WERE ON HIS MIND! How impacting is that??? The fact that he didn't think of anything else but of you while he was dying! Now that's powerful! What do you say to that? What can you say? The truth is you can't! Jesus gave the greatest love ever imaginable! Even when he was being beaten to the cross he still cried out in love, "Father forgive them! For they know not what they do!" And it's hard to grasp that the Lord almighty, creator of heaven and earth gave his ONLY son that he had to die for us! That God loved us enough to send his son to pay the price of sin! So let's not forget what Jesus did for us! Let's not let the price he paid for us go in vein! Most importantly let's spread the love that Jesus had for us to the people that need him! Isaiah 53 (700 BC) (1)Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? (2) He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.(3) He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with bitter suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.(4) Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. (5) But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed.(6) We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way;and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.(8) By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.(9) He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.(10)Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.(11) After the suffering of his soul,he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.(12) Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
