About Me

Myspace Layouts by Pimp-My-Profile.com

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to look me up. If you don't know me, then I'm Maddie, I'm 25 and I'm, first and foremost, a singer. I also play a variety of instruments, do some acting and dancing.
I live with the wonderfully talented Liam, who, no matter what else I may call him, is, was and ever shall be my "right arm". The Dudley Moore to my Peter Cook; the Peter Gabriel to my Kate Bush; the Jack to my Coke; and whoever it was Bette Midler was singing about in "Wind Beneath My Wings".
I don't want to turn this into a CV - I've written enough of those - this is about "me", not "what I've achieved". Hopefully the rest of what I make of this page will give you the whole picture ... keep em peeled. If you're interested in what I sound like then check out my music myspace: maddieloucole.

My Interests

Media - movies, tv and film ... I'd like to be able to say "and I'm captain of the local badminton team" ... but no, physical exertion doesn't interest me ... unless it's accompanied by very loud music, with an infectious beat and a "wish I'd thought of that" killer hook.

Music:

Here goes - in as random an order as I can muster : Billy Joel; Dream Theater; Daniel Bedingfield; Green Day; Heart; Kate Bush; Barenaked Ladies; Ben Folds (with or without the five); Lemar; U2; Eva Cassidy; Yes; Crowded House; Sting; Transatlantic; Queen ... the random list is endless.

Plus I'm really getting into Musical Theatre - Wicked, Avenue Q, The Wild Party, We Will Rock You, Spamalot ... as well as the classics like Les Mis and Phantom... and now Sondheim...

Movies:

Ingredients for the perfect movie : a Richard Curtis script starring a combination of British and Canadian actors (Hugh Grant and Kiefer Sutherland perhaps...), shooting guns, cracking jokes, maybe a sword fight and a steamy love scene or two ... oh and a kickass soundtrack!

Television:

British Sitcom largely : Dinnerladies, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, The Office, Alan Partridge, Blackadder, Just Good Friends, The Thin Blue Line, The Brittas Empire ...
And throw in a bit of Friends, Ally McBeal and 24 for good measure.
Oh, and, I have no shame, Dawson's Creek.

Books:

I should read more... I don't get the time...

Heroes:

Billy Joel - the greatest songwriter of all time.
Michael J Fox - the first true love of my life; yeah, he messed up but he's made up for it all by being an inspiration to us all.
