Originally from Devon, Pippa grew up listening to the beautiful folk singing of her mother and from an early age, she came to appreciate traditional music - “There’s something magical about knowing you’re singing a song which has been passed down through the generations.†Learning to play the piano and guitar allowed Pippa to channel that inspiration into writing her own songs, which have had a great response at gigs nationwide.
Pippa is an incredibly talented song writer, whose work ranges from the haunting, heartfelt and truly beautiful ‘Black Hawk’ to the intriguing ‘A thousand More’ which will have the listener contemplating every word. Pippa’s raw writing talent was recognised when she was awarded a First Class Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Bath Spa, and sets her apart from her contempories.
