Greetings!I'm Laura, I'm 21 and live in a technical hamlet outside High Wycombe, which is nice. I've lived here my entire life and I like it. Just because no one else does it doesn't automatically make it a dive.
You Are the Swedish Chef
"Bork! Bork! Bork!"
Your happy and energetic - with borderline manic tendencies.
No one really gets you. And frankly, you don't even get you.
But, you sure can whip up a great chocolate mousse
The Muppet Personality TestI am often misunderstood - I do not mean this in some self pitying emo way, I mean people often struggle to understand my reasoning: I did not go to university but am intelligent and well read. People assume this is not the case. I do not drink, smoke or abuse drugs - I am not straight edge and I am not doing it for any reason apart from the general disappointment with the whole experience. I used to drink, it made me miserable, so I stopped, because happiness is blatently more fun. People often think I'm odd because if I like someone I meet I make no bones about it - I take people as I find them and as such I will be very honest with them. If I like you I will treat you as my best friend and nothing less. The way I see it, I don't know how long I will have these people around. I could never see them again so they're worth the effort but I am not one to leave people behind if I can help it.
A few things about me...
♥ I am an easily excitable but equally cynical lass.
♥ I want a tattoo and some piercings but want someone to hold my hand first.
♥ I am addicted to Red Bull but think it's vile.
It gets me more hyperactive than alcohol ever did so it suits me fine.
♥ I am a big fan of live music - nothing beats feeling it reverberating through your bones.
♥ I prefer music of the rock/alternative/emo persuasion, but I dabble in other genres as I see fit, exspeshially real cheese, folk music and certain strains of bouncy fun and often mainstream dance music.
♥ I equally adore most of our local bands.
♥ I love gigs in dark little student pubs and other rock like venues.
♥ I love the Oxford Zodiac.
♥ I love gig tags - be it a marker pen x or a UV stamp.
♥ I detest clubbing. Unless I'm allowed glowsticks and I can leave my inhibitions at home...
♥ I love hugs from people I love, trust and feel comfortable with.
♥ I don't like to dance in public.
♥ I love singing.
♥ I am not actually that bad either which is a bonus.
♥ I have worked in the big corporate mess that is the music industry proper - I have now decided that if I cannot work with the artists direct, I am not interested. Unfortunately the stereotypes are true!
♥ I worked in London, but the time I lost was too much to bear, I'm happy with my "country bumpkin" life, that's how it's staying!
♥ I love comedy, poetry, Danny Wallace and Shakespeare.
♥ I overuse exclamation marks.
♥ I have but dislike using msn messenger because I prefer to have conversations direct with people - not always possible though so it's a surrogate.
♥ I love my life, my family, my boyfriend and my friends to pieces. My parents are amazing people, I'd never change them and they are my heroes. My brothers are amazing. Andy is a bit of a superstar really, despite the fights. He's nearly my best mate (don't tell him that!) and he kinda rocks. James is equally special, although I rarely see him these days! Mike is just indescribable in this short a space, but I believe he already knows just how much he means to me.
♥ I have a tendancy to fall head over heels with a personality before looks, some believe it's a downfall.
♥ I would have liked to marry a musician. Unfortunately the man I've fallen in love with isn't one. But seeing how much baggage most of the musicians I know have, that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially seeing as I haven't unpacked my own yet!
♥ I am crap at chatting men up, incapable some might say, thankfully, I'm not having to do it at the moment (*touch wood*)
♥ I am a firm believer in trying to pick others up if their down, unfortunately it tends to look a hell of a lot like I'm annoying the crap out of them. If I've done it to you I'm sorry - but it's only because I think you're worth it.I love meeting new people; I'd say particularly those I have stuff in common with but thinking about it, some of my best mates are like the chalk to my cheese. I am a particular fan of rock n roll lads. Those who I can go to see bands with and who complain about the poor quality of production and stuff. It's all good. But anyone with a happy disposition is most welcome, as is anyone else I suppose!
