I love to read!!. I also like to just hang out with friends at the movies, going out to dinner. In the warmer months I love to go walking and to just be outside. I love live theatre. I go a couple times of year to see live plays at local theatres. I also love to travel to new places - I just like to get away sometimes.
Gospel music is definitely my favorite type of music to listen to, but I also like jazz and classical music styles and love ballads. What can I say, I love music!!! Fred Hammond is definitely my favorite artist right now. I also love Donnie McClurkin, Karen Clark Sheard and Mary Mary, Gods Chosen, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and a host of others. Hey guys, I love music so much that I am now taking Piano Lessons. I've always wanted to play the piano and hopefully one day I will be able to well.
My favorite movie is Polly with Keisha Knight Pulliam (rudy from the Cosby Show). Comedies are my favorite type of movie. I also love suspense movies and "tear jerker, feel good" movies. To name a few, Akeelah and the Bee, Pride, Bringing Down the House, the Wedding Planner, You've got Mail, Sister Act 2, Madea plays,
I like to watch Girlfriends. MTV reality shows, the Food Network, the Style network, and TV One are what I end up watching most of the time. I like to watch TV. My all time favs though are THe Cosby Show, Living Single and Martin (that boy is hilarious!!)
African American fiction is something I have been reading a lot lately. The Bible is something I need to read more of. I like autobiographies of popular African Americans.
Jesus is truly the only person I can consider my Hero. Anybody who would shed His blood and die for my sins deserves my life and my worship in return. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son and whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have ever lasting life!!! (Glory!!!) But I do think very highly of my mother who I can only hope to be like one day. She has an enormous amount of faith and trust in God and she truly believes that she can do all things through Christ that Strengthens her. She has accomplished so much in life and I am proud to say that she is very down to earth, not pretentious. I am grateful that I have her as an example of how to be a woman of God, of character and class. After my mother, my late grandfather, Suffragan Bishop Jesse Battle, Sr. lived a great life before me and I actually see a lot of him in my mother, so he is someone I would consider a major influence in my life. I've not met anyone like these two very special people and I am so glad God put them in my life.
